Strategic Conference
The Petroleum Agency SA (PASA) in partnership with the Department of Mineral & Petroleum Resources (DMPR) and the South African Oil & Gas Alliance (SAOGA) is hosting the 5th Annual Southern Africa Oil & Gas Conference that will focus on the developments in the upstream petroleum industry in the Southern Africa region. Our first conference was held in 2021 in partnership with SAOGA where we saw an expansion with the second, third & fourth conference held in 2022, 2023 & 2025 respectively in partnership with both the DMPR and SAOGA. The main aim of this initiative is to create a local platform that is accessible to the public as well as all businesses looking for opportunities in the upstream and midstream oil and gas sector.
This annual conference allows participants to gain valuable strategic insights, and it offers networking opportunities with policymakers, operators, and industry professionals from across Southern Africa.
This two-day event will be delivered in person at the Century City Conference Centre in Cape Town, South Africa.
As this is a regional “Southern Africa” Upstream Oil & Gas Conference, we will invite participants from countries within the SADC region, especially countries with recent oil and gas developments such as Namibia, Mozambique, Uganda, Tanzania, Botswana & Zimbabwe.
The conference takes place in the context of the global climate crisis, the electricity supply crisis and energy supply shortages in South Africa and the region as well as depressed economic growth that exacerbates the rate of unemployment.
